Prestapic is a personal project that I'm working on since Septembre 2015 with Olivier Coué. The concept of this website is a sort of social network where everybody can ask for a picture, photo, drawing or something else, and everybody can make suggestions.
Everything shared on Prestapic are licensed under Creative Commons Zero which means you can copy, modify, distribute and use the photos for free, including commercial purposes, without asking permission from or providing attribution to the photographer or Prestapic.
During our studies we found that there is a lot of website where you can find pictures. But it's difficult to find the good one that makes your design even better.
That's why we created Prestapic: to help people to find pictures that they need for their projects.
The first challenge in this project was to create a website where it's possible to find pictures already posted and where you can suggest your pictures on requests of the others.
The second challenge was that we were only two to work on that project. Which means that we have to do everything and that the project require for us to be involved into the process from the very beginning to the very end. It challenge us to deliver the user the best user experience possible.
We wanted to create a website that hightlights users and their work. In addition to this we wanted a quick to load website and a website that is intuitive.
The technologies used for this project was the PHP framework Symfony2 for the backend. The frontend development is done with the framework AngularJS and we also use NodeJS for notifications and real time messages.
